SUBSTANCE: recuperative soaking pit comprises a chamber in the form of rectangular parallelepiped bounded by lined walls, a hearth and a movable cover, a burner located in the upper part of the chamber front wall. The chamber in the lower part is provided with burners located on a common horizontal axis on one of the side walls at a distance from the hearth and equal to 0.25-0.30 of the wall height.

EFFECT: reduced heating time for ingots in furnace, increased performance, reduced fuel consumption due to uniform heating of metal ingots in the pit.
