FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of applying a zinc oxide coating onto a transparent base. Described is a method of making a glass article with a doped zinc oxide coating, having low resistivity, via chemical vapour deposition at atmospheric pressure. The article is made by feeding onto the surface of a hot glass base one or more streams of gaseous reagents, specifically a zinc-containing compound, a fluorine-containing compound, an oxygen-containing compound and at least one compound containing one or more metals selected from a group comprising boron, aluminium, gallium and indium.
EFFECT: obtaining glass articles with high transmission coefficient in the visible region, low emissivity and sun-screening properties and high specific conductivity using a cost-effective method.
