FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: projectile comprises a shell holding two cores installed serially. The first core is located closer to a head part of the projectile and is made of a more solid material, and the second core - from a heavier material. The first core contacts along its entire side surface with an inner surface of the shell. The second core directly adjoins the first one, where there is a cavity communicating with the cavity in the second core.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of a damage effect of a projectile and improved stability of its ballistic characteristics.
