METHOD OF PREDICTING RELAPSE-FREE SURVIVAL OF PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL CANCER METASTASES IN LIVER AFTER ITS RESECTION Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/103 G01N1/28

Abstract RU 2454176 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to surgery and oncology. In order to predict relapse-free survival of patients with metastases of colorectal cancer in liver after its resection, determined are maximal size and number of metastases, presence of bilobate affection, coincidence of metastases with primary cancer - detection of metastases simultaneously with primary cancer pr during 3 months after it, presence of tumour cells in lymph nodes of hepatoduodenal ligament and resection edge, degree of metastasis differentiation. After that, level of factor significance is determined and number of points corresponding to value of clinical-pathological factor is determined, obtained points are summed up. After that, expression of CK 20, β-cat, Ki 67 Max is determined, for β-cat expression being determined in nucleus, and for Ki 67 Max - proliferation index ≤30% or >30%, then, depending on degree of metastasis differentiation, level of significance of molecular factors and corresponding to factor significance number of points are determined. Obtained points are summed up. Calculation of prediction of relapse-free survival is carried out by clinical-pathologic and molecular factors.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform prediction of disease relapse after liver resection caused by metastatic colorectal cancer.
