FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: each cell of mobile radio communication may be identified on the basis of an identifier comprising cell identification and area identification, a terminal device of mobile radio communication is arranged with the possibility to receive and process identifiers, and to save one or more identifiers. Geographical localisation of the terminal device of mobile radio communication is carried out by comparison of a received identifier with one or more saved identifiers. When modifying cell identification and/or area identification of a cell identifier, additional information is sent to a terminal device of mobile radio communication, and a new cell identifier is saved instead of an old one.
EFFECT: invention provides for geographical localisation of a terminal device inside a cellular network.
