FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely experimental and applied neurobiology and neurooncology, it is applicable for therapy of high-grade gliomas and prevention of postoperative recurrences. A method of treating high-grade gliomas involves the introduction of a standartised preparation of anti-Cx43 antibodies produced to a recombinant fragment of connexin-43 Q173- 1208 with an amino acid sequence. The preparation of anti-Cx43 antibodies is introduced in the amount of min. 5 mg/kg pf recipient's weight once every 5-7 days to ensure a therapeutic effect.

EFFECT: method promotes slowing down the tumour growth and prolonging patient's life with underlying therapy of high-grade gliomas.
