FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes heating of primary materials that include, at least, one metal oxide and agglomerates that contain carbon-bearing reducing agent and hardened binding agent for reducing metal oxide till metal. Each agglomerate has, at least, one shaped open channel and its apparent density amounts not more than 99% of the apparent density of agglomerate identical to it, but without the said channel. Note that carbon-bearing reducing agent is selected from the group that includes carbon black and activated charcoal and hardened binding agent is the product of saccharose and adipinic acid interaction.
EFFECT: high output, high speed of obtaining metals and low energy consumption.
