METHOD FOR BLOOD CELL ELASTICITY TEST Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01N33/49

Abstract RU 2466401 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves making a cantilever, scanning tissue cells, producing force curves, calculating a Young 's modulus. The cantilever is made of hollow polymer microspheres of the diametre of 10 mcm attached on a tipless in the mode of force spectroscopy. The hollow polymer microspheres are arranged on the opposite section of the same glass substrate with a live cell suspension; the substrate is placed in a chamber saturated with water vapour, and at first force spectroscopy is performed at the section of the glass substrate comprising the hollow polymer microspheres with delivering the tipless on a separate hollow polymer microsphere, and after attached to the tipless the scanned area is induced to cover the cell suspension, and force curves are recorded with staying attached to the sample. The presented method is technically simple, enables eliminating the cell damage during force spectroscopy, causes no changes of the properties of the analysed samples, provides maintaining nativity and form of the blood cells, enables producing the most reliable results.

EFFECT: method may be used in general and clinical physiology for blood cell elasticity test.
