METHOD FOR INVESTIGATION OF BIOLOGICAL COMPATIBILITY OF SYNTHETIC MATERIAL OF MEDICAL-BIOLOGICAL PURPOSE WITH BIOLOGICAL TISSUES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01N13/00

Abstract RU 2381485 C2

FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for investigation of synthetic materials for biological compatibility with tissues of live organism. Method for investigation of biological compatibility of synthetic material of medical-biological purpose with biological tissues, in which implant is analysed by method of microscopy with production of surface image with nanometre resolution. At the same time implant cut is investigated by methods of atomic-force microscopy, besides investigation of implant cut by method of atomic-force microscopy is carried out in two contact modes: constant force and lateral forces. Contact modes are carried out in air at room temperature with application of contact cantilevers with radius of probe tip curvature of less than 10 nm. Then using images registered in mode of constant force, parametres of roughness and height difference are calculated, mode of lateral forces registration makes it possible to differ areas of scanning with various friction coefficients, and also peculiarities of implant cut surface relief. And method of atomic-force spectroscopy is used to register forces of adhesion between probe of cantilever and surface of implant cut by results of processing of cantilever advance-retract power curves from cut of implant, besides measurement of adhesion force are carried out in several sections of investigated implant cut.

EFFECT: assessment of extent of connective tissue components penetration inside implant and extent of implant fixation in organism.
