FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-destructive contact methods for measuring fluid or gas pressure inside a thin-walled vacuum soft shell, and may be used for measuring intraocular pressure. A random point wherein a shell wall is thin and flat crowned is selected on a shell wall filled with fluid or gas, and a second rounded thin-walled reference shell filled with fluid or gas with a connected pump with a manometer is pressed to the random point. Pressure inside of the reference shell is changed to achieve a zero curvature of both shells within a contact zone. Target fluid or gas pressure inside the shell to be measured is derived from the manometer connected to the reference shell.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher measurement accuracy of fluid or gas pressure inside the thin-walled vacuum soft shells.
