FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of refractory nickel-based alloys using off-grade wastes and can be used in investment casting. Proposed method comprises preparing charge materials containing wastes of refractory nickel alloys to be remelted in vacuum. Said wastes represents foundry backstock or chips resulted in cutting of rods refractory nickel allows in amount of 3-10% of charge material weight. Chips are pre-rinsed in tap running water to residual content of oil on chip surface not exceed 3-5%, degreased in ultrasound bath with water solution of technical detergent, washed in ultrasound bath using tap running water, and washed distilled stagnant water. Then, convective drying is carried out in gauze rotary drums as wells as chip magnetic separation.

EFFECT: higher metal recovery and yield.
