FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood smear is examined for the content of myeloperoxidase, glycogen, acid and alkaline phosphatase in neutrophils. A metabolic disorder index (MDI) is calculated. The value is compared with the relevant reference values of each index. The reference value deviation is accepted to be one, the value within the reference values is considered to be zero; and the metabolic disorder index is assessed as total conditional units characterising the state of each of four indices. The MDI values equal to zero shows intracellular metabolism in workers occupied in petrochemical and chemical production is considered to be normal. If the MDI value is 1, a mild degree of intracellular metabolic disorder is stated. If the MDI value is 2, a medium degree of intracellular metabolic disorder is stated. If the MDI value is 3-4, a high degree of intracellular metabolic disorder is stated.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables accurate and reliable assessment of a degree of intracellular neutrophil metabolic disorders in the workers occupied in petrochemical and chemical production.
