FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a dielectric gas-filled chamber, near or inside which there are at least two pairs of parallel wire electrodes, some of which are connected to a HF-generator, remaining ones are grounded, at the same time connection of electrodes to the HF-generator and connection of remaining electrodes to grounding are done in a parallel manner, besides, electrodes connected to the HF-generator alternate via one with grounded electrodes. Each wire electrode is made in the form of a loop and is placed along the perimetre on the outer side of the dielectric gas-filled chamber. Inside the dielectric gas-filled chamber there is an additional wire electrode installed coaxially on dielectric supports.
EFFECT: invention provides for spatial homogeneity and stable burning of a high-frequency gas discharge in the entire volume of a dielectric gas-filled chamber.
