FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of relationship between failure intensity δ and determinant characteristics, parameters of the product, functioning duration t, defect elimination; as a determinant parameter, acceleration of the required function G is introduced and the relation between parameters is established by means of calculations or calculations and experiments according to the following functional: δ=f(δ0,α,β,t), where δ0 - initial value of failure intensity, , - parameters, which are reverse to speed values and acceleration of the required function of the product, its constituent parts respectively; the product parameters are standardised as per failure intensity during a test cycle; then, failure intensity is forecasted for the specified time, cycle and the product and its elements are improved by changing their parameters, which leads to improvement of fail safety and increase in service life.
EFFECT: simplifying the decisions taken on improvement of the product reliability.
