FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Traction impact on spine is realised in sitting position by fixation of thoracolumbar part of human body in frame with, at least, one bearing element, which has point of bearing lower than ischial bone in such a way as to ensure body sagging above the seat surface under its own weight. Device includes frame with fastening elements, on which, at least, one bearing element, which has point of support lower than ischial bone, is fastened. Length of bearing element is selected from condition of ensuring human body sagging in sitting position above seat. Frame is made with possibility of its length regulation in form of thoracolumbar corset, or in form of rigid panel with throracolumbar straps. Bearing element is equipped with bearing site, is made flexible. Device can include, at least, two bearing elements, and, at least, one bearing element is made figured with contour, which repeats external contour of lower part of body.
EFFECT: method and device make it possible to realise unloading of lumbar area of spine.
