FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises the steps that follow. Inertial body made of magnetostrictive material is placed in fluid to displace therein. Mechanical oscillations are excited in inertial body by application of electromagnetic field thereto. Electromagnetic field resonance oscillations are excited in oscillatory circuit including inductance and capacitance and inertial body is driven along case axis. Note also that oscillatory circuit capacitance galvanically isolated from measuring circuit varies. Controlled object linear acceleration is measured on varying the frequency of electromagnetic field resonance oscillations. Proposed method may well be used in automation of controlled object linear acceleration measurements.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements, easier manufacture.
