FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises excitation of electromagnetic field resonance oscillations in oscillatory circuit including inductance and capacitor. Note here that mechanical oscillations originate in inertial body made from magnetostrictive material and placed in gas that results from the effects of variable magnetic field. Said inertial body is displaced relative to the case. Note also that oscillatory circuit capacitance galvanically isolated from measuring circuit varies. Parameters of mechanical oscillations of inertial body relative to the case is measured by variation in electromagnetic field resonance oscillation frequency.

EFFECT: accurate and fast measurement.
