FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: coating is made based on one- or two-packed organic-silicon compound of cold curing based on silicon low-molecular rubber, filler and curing agent or vulcanising agent. If there is humidification available, dry water-proofed surface is dried and cleaned only from non-cementing contamination. Cleaning is performed by aero-gas-dynamic method using compressed air source providing pressure not less than 0.4 MPa. In order to apply a layer of water-proof coating on cleaned surface of electric-insulating structure, compressed air source is used. It provides flow rate not less than 15 m3/h and pressure not less than 0.15 MPa. Then diffusion is performed at a distance from diffuser nozzle edge to coated surface within 100-600 mm at speed of nozzle (1.6-2.7 mm in diameter) movement along water-proofed surface not less than 0.15 m/s.

EFFECT: improving reliability and increasing service life of applied water-proof coating.
