FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. To ensure controlled uniform cooling of hot strip coil and homogeneous properties, coil 1 is placed in intermediate storage. Note here that is thrusted against at least one cooling roller 3, 7 to revolve therewith thanks to contact of its side surface with said roller. Cooling is controlled by means of the device incorporating machine-readable program code including control instructions.
EFFECT: controlled uniform cooling, homogeneous properties.
