FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to a method of production of feed additive for poultry. The method comprises grinding pumpkin fruit, laying of the resulting mass in the vessels and layer by layer adding of preservative in the form of solution of stock culture of lactic acid bacteria. The solution of natural bishofite is used additionally as the preservative, taken in a ratio of about 2:1 relative to the lactic acid bacteria and added in an amount of 0.5% by weight of the feed additive. After adding of the preservative into the plant material it is sealed, maintained to obtain the pH of 3.8-4.0, then beet pulp is added in an amount of 20% by weight of raw pumpkin. The resulting mass is dried to a moisture content of 12-14% and then granulated.

EFFECT: increased content of carotene and vitamins in feed additive is provided, it enables to increase the shelf life of the feed additive and give it technological properties convenient for dosing and mixing in production of concentrates, combined feed and feed additives.
