FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to instruments for cataract surgery. An ultrasonic holder comprises a mouthpiece having a first portion with a first axial line and a second portion with a second axial line; the first axial line is parallel, but not collinear with the second axial line; there are also provided piezoelectric crystals connected to the mouthpiece, and a cutting tip connected to the first portion of the mouthpiece. The first axial line of the first portion of the mouthpiece is biased in relation to the second axial line of the second portion of the mouthpiece so that the excited piezoelectric crystals generate the oscillatory or rocking motion in the cutting tip.
EFFECT: using the invention enables reducing a risk of tip overheating and tissue burn.
