FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to shells for individual absorbent products, e.g. for tampons. The tampons are packed in a substantially cylindrical shell made of a flexible sheet material packed in one or more areas of attachment to one or more releases crossed by a release line. The shell is closed from both ends, while overlapping parts of the flexible sheet material are fixed in a longitudinal part of the seam. A longitudinal part of the seam represents a substantially longitudinal area of attachment with framing first and second edges. The first end of the release line is inside the seam sections along the first end of the substantially longitudinal area of attachment at certain space from the first end of the shell; the line extends through a rupture in the substantially longitudinal area of attachment; the line extends along the perimeter of the shell and completes at the second end within the seam at the second end of the substantially longitudinal area of attachment. The release line gets through the seam section, while the shell can be easily removed without any decomposition to the fragments.

EFFECT: invention refers to compressions for tampon shells not affecting the operation of the opening mechanism along the whole perimetre of the absorbent product.
