FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: packed elongated intravaginal device, in fact covered with an envelope. The envelope has a longitudinal seam, which is located, mainly, parallel to the longitudinal axis. The seam includes a layer of an envelope material, which is located on the first edge of an envelope workpiece, applied on the second layer of the envelope material, which is located on the second edge of the envelope workpiece, opposite the first layer. The envelope has in fact a continuous line of slackening, crossing the plane, which contains the longitudinal axis of the packed device, at least, in three different points. The line of slackening passes through the longitudinal overlapping seam and includes elements, applied on each layer of the overlapping seam, with the line of slackening passing in such a way that the envelope is not torn into several parts when the envelope is opened on the line of slackening.

EFFECT: removal of the envelope from the tampon with the preservation of the envelope integrity is provided.
