FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to cell biology and medicine. What is presented is a method for preparing cells for a replacement cell therapy of a liver consisting in the recovery of a stemm cell population expressing CD49f and EpCAM markers, from a sub-mandibular salivary gland, the incubation with valproic acid and the following hepatocyte re-differentiation in the course of the cultivation. A target culture is identified by the expression of 1AAT, PEPCK, G6P, TDO markers, liver-specific P450 cytochrome, albumen, and the ability to synthetise urea.
EFFECT: invention provides preparing the cells differentiated to the functionally active condition in the amount sufficient for the transplantation (108-109 ) over a short period of time (2-4 weeks) that may be used for the broad-spectrum cell therapy of the acute and chronic hepatic pathologies, including cirrhosis, acute and chronic hepatic failure.
