FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical gearing of outer engagement consists of two spur gears 1, 2 with parallel axes and teeth. Said gears feature involute profiles at cross-sections perpendicular to gear rotational axes, identical circumferential depth over the tooth length and lengthwise circular arcs of the same diametre. Centres of said arcs are located in one plane perpendicular to gear rotational axis and shifted in lengthwise direction relative to the pane perpendicular to gear rotational axis and crossing the rim centre. Enclosed is the formula for calculation of said plane displacement. Described gears are made using the appropriate tooth cutting head. Prior to cutting, said head is arranged so that its rotational axis is located at the plane perpendicular to perpendicular to gear rotational axis and shifted in lengthwise direction relative to the pane perpendicular to gear rotational axis and crossing the rim centre by amount defined by enclosed formula.
