FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for measurement of vacuum and may be used in development of ionisation vacuum gauges for measurement of high and ultrahigh vacuum. The vacuum-gauge converter comprises the concentrically arranged rod anode, a hollow cylindrical cold cathode, which is also a permanent magnet, magnetised in axial direction, and conical pole pads that generate a magnetic field in the active zone of the converter as transverse to the electric one. Besides, the converter comprises an alignment orifice, to which the electrode system of the converter is fixed. Also the converter comprises additional electrodes, to which DC voltage is sent from additional outer leads, connected at the lower limits of measurement, and conical pole pads are electrically isolated from the cylindrical cold cathode with the help of thin dielectric orifices or dielectric layers applied onto surfaces of the conical pole pads contacting with end surfaces of the cylindrical cold cathode; at the same time conical pole pads are electrically connected to each other and the body, and the cylindrical cold cathode is electrically connected to its external lead with the help of an additional wire.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements.
