FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: before implantation, the Acrysof intraocular lens is placed unfolded in an injector cartridge. A viscoelastic having a viscosity grade of no more than 4500 cps is first introduced into the Acrysert injector system through an operating hole for the implantation purposes. That is followed by introducing the second viscoelastic having a viscosity grade of not less than 39000 cps until the cartridge is full. The cartridge comprises haptic elements of the lens surrounding its optical part. The lens is pushed towards the implantation area and taken out from the cartridge when folded and introduced into the capsular sac. The corneal wound is sealed by hydration of the incisional wound borders.
EFFECT: method provides the higher effectiveness of the performed surgical intervention.
