SUBSTANCE: unit for preparation of paint and varnish products comprises a mixer with a spring fixed inside along the entire length, equipped with shock absorbers, mounted with a possibility of spatial movement in three mutually perpendicular directions, the mixer is made along the perimeter in the form of a multi-start screw surface with helical lines along the perimeter and helical grooves inside the mixer at an angle of 5-15° to the axis of the mixer in the form of pockets of a curved shape with curvature centres of the pockets of the curved shape of the screw surface, located inside the cross section of the mixer. It is mounted from at least one strip of an equal width, rolled into cylindrical coils, connected to each other along the longitudinal edges, bent by bending lines disposed at an angle to its longitudinal edges, with formation of helical lines and screw surfaces on the inner and outer surfaces directed towards one side at an angle of 5-15° to the mixer axis in the form of pockets of a curvilinear shape, thus the spring of a concave shape with a plane section of coils is mounted throughout the length of the mixer, which is equipped with a device for changing the pitch of coils by means of their extension or compression.
