FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises mixing of initial charge components including iron-containing oxide, carbonaceous reducer and calcium carbonate. Initial charge is annealed to separate solid component in iron-containing and silicate components. Note here that prior to mixing of charge components they are dried and homogenised by parallel grinding. Reducing annealing of initial charge is conducted at 700-1200°C while aforesaid separation is performed pneumatically in cyclones. Iron-containing concentrate is withdrawn from annealing zone and, after cooling, is subjected to magnetic or electrostatic or pneumatic re-separation. Silicate concentrate formed after re-separation is mixed with that resulted from first pneumatic separation. Collective silicate concentrate is directed to annealing to clinker. Note here that, prior to annealing, correcting additives are introduced in said collective silicate concentrate in amount of not over 20 wt % of concentrate weight. Proposed charge contains the following substances, in wt %: calcium carbonate - 10.0-65.0, carbonaceous reducer - 3.0-14.0, iron-containing oxide making the rest. Invention is developed in dependent claim.
EFFECT: simultaneous production of iron-containing concentrate and high-quality Portland cement.
