SUBSTANCE: method consists in preparing the sample material in the shape of circle, fixing it on the holder made in the form of a hemisphere with a needle and rigidly fixed to the base made in the form of a hollow chamber with circular openings directed towards a hemisphere without the possibility of vertical movement and with the diameter ratio of the sample and the hemisphere of 4: 1, providing preliminary movement of the sample material due to vertical intermittent air flow supplied through the chamber openings, determining the coefficient of draping property of the material, which is calculated as the percentage of the ratio of the difference of squares of the initial sample and its horizontal projection after the deformation to the area of the initial sample and determining the anisotropy of draping property of the material in the warp and transverse directions by the ratio of the lengths of axial lines on the horizontal projection of the sample, passed through the centre of the projection.
