FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: traction electric drive of transport facility contains traction DC electric motors of series excitation connected to thyristor rectifiers which are connected to controller. The traction electric drive is also provided with operation mode selector, two additional controlled rectifiers, power three-phase switch, ballast resistor and switch. Inputs of three-phase switch, switch, additional controlled rectifiers are connected to additional outputs of controller the input of which is connected to output of operation mode selector.
EFFECT: enhanced functionality.
