FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic liquid seal of nonmagnetic shaft with the magnetic system, comprising the constant magnet with polar tips and magnetic fluid, is equipped with a limiter of free surface of the magnetic fluid installed between polar tips made from nonmagnetic material in the form of ring-shaped element, the face surfaces of which reproduce the shape of adjacent surfaces of polar tips.
EFFECT: decrease of magnetic fluid consumption at keeping the characteristics of the seal.
