FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical diagnostics and can be used for the diagnosis of the hip dysplasia, hip subluxation and dislocation in children. A plane of an ultrasonic sensor is turned so that to record the maximum diameter of the femoral head and to visualise the bone prominence definitely; a lateral contour of the iliac bone is expected to be displayed on an ultrasonograph screen as a hyper echoic line arranged in an oblique direction from left to right. If the rounded femoral head is overlapped by the bone portion of the acetabular roof half-way or more; the acetabular roof and definitely visualised bone prominence are concaved, the hip joint is diagnosed to get formed correctly. The flattened acetabular roof with the symptoms of the underdeveloped bone prominence and deficient bone coating of the femoral head, the delayed hip joint development is diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique provides the early accurate diagnosis of the hip joint pathology, eliminates the possibility of the misdiagnosis by the detailed visualisation of the examined tissues.
