FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the confectionary branch of food industry. Proposed is a chewing gum base. The chewing gum base contains particles of at least one cross-linked polymer. The said cross-linked polymer contains at least 25% of a gel with glass transition point below 30°C. Additionally proposed is a method for such chewing gum base production. The method envisages a stage whereat one charges into the mixer suspension of particles of the cross-linked polymer with the gel content equal to at least 25%. Then one adds into the mixer at least one elastomer, such elastomer solvent, a softening agent, a plastic resin a filler and/or an emulsifier. The components are mixed at an increased temperature during a period of time sufficient for evaporation of at least most of the liquid with the mixture then discharged from the mixer.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce chewing gum with decreased adhesion to surfaces and acceptable chewing properties.
