FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. The method comprises the following steps: a mobile station performs handover from the first cell, controlled by a base radio station, to the second cell. The mobile station receives "Measurement configuration", which is a command to perform measurement and report the necessary radio communication quality. The first base station sends "NO request" to the second base station. The said request contains identification data of the first cell. In response to that data, the second base station determines whether the second cell is within the measurement target zone. If so, it sends commands of measurement and reporting the necessary radio communication quality to the mobile station.
EFFECT: provision of measurement and reporting of the necessary radio communication quality within the defined measurement zone.
