FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to genetic engineering. Copies of the DNA molecule to be sequenced are placed in four solutions, each characterised by low concentration of one nucleotide compared to the other three nucleotides. When conducting DNA polymerisation, ion release is detected in each solution using MIS structure-based sensors. The time interval between ion releases is measured and a long time interval indicates binding of the low-concentration nucleotide. The position of said nucleotide in the sequenced DNA is then determined. Determination of the time when the nucleotide binds to the growing DNA chain by measuring the signal from each sensor is carried out in stochastic resonance mode. The stochastic resonance mode is provided by selecting the q-point of the MIS structure in the middle of the bistability portion and by feeding a noise signal from an additional noise generator to the cathode of the MIS structure.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases accuracy of detecting the moment of attachment of a nucleotide during DNA polymerisation.
