FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to phthisiology and thoracic surgery for treating patients with advanced destructive pulmonary tuberculosis, including its chronic and complicated forms. Therapeutic hypoventilation and pulmonary collapse are provided, and functioning of bronchopleural fistulas is terminated by generated extrapleural compression on the primary bronchus with rolled posterolateral segments of the fragmented VI-VII ribs with a suture compression band applied.
EFFECT: method enables avoiding intraoperative injuries, blood loss and postoperative complications.
