FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device protecting power transmission line comprised of support with suspended insulators containing the upper and lower end terminals from short circuiting between end terminals of the insulators and/or elements of electric installations connected to the insulators and/or elements of wires attachments fixed to insulators from birds and/or their waste products. The device represents a prolonged housing made of dielectric so that a part of the wire fixed to the insulator and/or at least a part of wires attachment can be placed inside it; at that the housing is open on the underside and has an opening from top in the middle part that allows passing of the lower end terminal of the insulator and/or at least a part of wires attachment fixed to the insulator.
EFFECT: invention allows short circuit protection for the upper and lower end terminal of suspended insulator.
