FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining pyridine and methylpyridines, which consists in interaction of ethanol, formaldehyde and ammonia in presence of granulated free of binding agents zeolite Y-BS in H-form at 200-400°C and volume rate of raw material supply (w), equal 2-10 h-1, mole ratio ethanol : formaldehyde : ammonia constitutes 1.0:0.5-1.1:1-5.
EFFECT: obtaining pyridine at lower temperature with high output.
