FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for determination of vehicle movement speed with its simultaneous identification performed using radio waves. The technical result is achieved by the fact that in a method for determining the vehicle movement speed, which consists in remote detection of the vehicle by a device for determining the vehicle movement speed as per available radio signal responses of at least one identification assembly installed on the vehicle, further identification of the vehicle by means of at least one radio signal response of the identification assembly, according to the proposed invention, radio signal responses of at least one identification assembly are also used for determination of the vehicle movement speed as per time of reception of the radio signal response of at least one identification assembly relative to time of transmission of a dropping electromagnetic signal shaped by the device for determination of the vehicle movement speed.

EFFECT: enlarging application scope due to possible measurement of speed of vehicles simultaneously with their identification by means of one device.
