FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to measurement equipment and can be used for measurement of torque moment and angular speed of a rotating shaft. The method involves generation stages of the first and the second analogue signals by means of a sensor generating a signal at passage in front of it of a tooth of one or more wheels provided with teeth and fixed on the shaft; with that, the second analogue signal is offset in time relative to the first signal and has duration equal to duration of the first analogue signal, conversion of the first and the second signals to the first and the second digital signals. Besides, it involves a correlation stage of the first and the second digital signals, and then, a time interval is calculated between two passages of teeth by interpolation of a mutual correlation function by means of a least square method. The device includes one or more wheels provided with teeth; with that, each wheel is rigidly connected to one point of the shaft, a sensor having a possibility of converting passage of each tooth in front of it to analogue signal pulses, an analogue-to-digital converter having a possibility of converting the output analogue signal of the sensor to a digital signal, a calculation unit intended for calculation of a mutual correlation function of two digital signals generated by the analogue-to-digital converter, and for calculation of a time interval between two pulses of the analogue signal based on the mutual correlation function.
