FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and is intended for automated control over compliance with traffic rules. Vehicle speed determining system in the section consists of at least two detection video units, each of which is a monoblock, consisting of an IP camera with a function of recognizing state registration signs and a single-board transport analysis computer, which includes a computer, a data storage device, a radio modem, a GNSS receiver. At that, each recording video unit operates independently and in automatic mode performs identification of vehicles VRM, records data into an archive and transmits said data to the other recording video unit, with matching of VRM data, compares time of passage of the road section and calculates average speed of vehicle on section and detects violations of speed mode, forms evidence base, including photo and video materials, having records of the current time interval obtained during reception and processing of GNSS signals included in the system, and a payment receipt of the penalty, and transmits them through a data transmission device via a radio modem or an Ethernet network to a user server.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of system operation.
