FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the noncontact radiowave method of rotation frequency measurement and can be used for high-precision determination of rotation frequency. Within the method implementation towards the object of rotation along the normal line to its axis of rotation electromagnetic waves are radiated at the fixed frequency, the reflected electromagnetic waves are accepted and the law of change of difference of phases of radiated and received electromagnetic waves φ1(t) is studied. simultaneously at the same distance from an axis of rotation of the object along the normal line to it and at the angle α with reference to the direction of the first radiation electromagnetic waves of the same frequency are radiated, the reflected electromagnetic waves are received and the law of change of difference of phases of the radiated and received electromagnetic waves φ2(t) is studied. The frequency of rotation of object is determined by a time delay of maximum of the correlation function between φ1(t) and φ2(t) and by the angle α.

EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy.
