FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing a rubber mixture based on ethylene-propylene diene rubber includes adding to the rubber a modifier, sulphur, zinc oxide, stearic acid, tetramethylthiuram disulphide, mercaptobenzothiazole and technical carbon. Before adding components of the mixture, the rubber is exposed to microwaves at frequency of 2.45 GHz for 60 seconds. Dithiomorpholine, pine rosin and white soot are further added to the mixture. As the modifier a phosphorus-boron-nitrogen-containing oligomer is used.
EFFECT: invention provides an ethylene-propylene diene rubber-based vulcanisate having improved deformation-strength properties and fire-resistance.
