FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing a colloidal solution of lead sulphide nanoparticles includes mixing an initial lead acetate solution and a solution of a sulphur-containing compound in the presence of a stabiliser, the method being characterised by that the stabiliser is sodium citrate or a disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (trilon B) with the ratio of components lead acetate:sodium sulphide:sodium citrate or trilon B=1:1:0.3-1.25.
EFFECT: method enables to implement a simple controllable process of producing aqueous colloidal solutions of lead sulphide nanoparticles with size of 9-17 nm, which are stable for up to 30 days.
