FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to devices for automatic identification and visualisation of a part of an anatomical structure. The device comprises a feature selection unit and an anatomical part classification unit; the feature selection unit is configured to select one specific feature of the appearance of an intervention device with the use of the available picture content data, whereas the anatomical part classification unit is configured to correlate one specific feature with the available classification data. A visualisation system comprises an emitter, an emission recording unit, a data processing unit and a display. The method involves the stages of selecting the features, correlating and detecting which part of the anatomical structure encloses the intervention device. A machine-readable carrier is configured to implement the stages according to the method.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions provides higher reliability for integrating the device into the systems when performing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
