FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining microcellulose, including subjecting fibrous cellulose material to acidic hydrolysis at temperature from 110°C to less than 140°C and at consistence, constituting from 20 to 50 % of cellulose dry weight, at which quantity of added mineral acid constitutes from 0.2 to 2 %, preferably from 0.3 to 1.9 %, more preferably from 0.5 to 1.5 % of cellulose dry weight, and where hydrolysis is carried out in reactor with compression degree lower than 1.5:1.
EFFECT: method by invention is used to obtain microcellulose with sufficiently narrow granulometric distribution of particles with high output.
