FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining microcellulose, including a) acidification of fibrous cellulose material with mineral acid, b) washing acidified cellulose material with water, c) optional dehydration of washed cellulose material and d) hydrolysis of washed or washed and dehydrated cellulose material in acidic conditions at temperature from 120°C to 185°C and consistence, constituting from 8 to 60 wt % of dry cellulose substance.
EFFECT: method by invention is used to obtain high quality microcellulose with narrow granulometric distribution of particles from fibrous cellulose material.
