DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OCULAR SURGERY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2573043 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: unit for ocular surgery comprises: a stand enclosed in a body movable and mounted on a wall or ceiling, and having a bearer mounted on the stand and configured so that to make it possible to align its position manually at least partially in relation to the stand body; there are also a surgical microscope attached to the stand bearer and rotary in relation to the stand body about a rotation axis, and a laser apparatus emitting focused pulsed laser light having the characteristics required to make incisions in a human eye, and comprising a laser light source, an emitting laser head attached to the stand bearer, emitting laser light and configured rotary about an axis of a secondary pivot; flexible transmitting fibres or a pivoted light guide are designed for transmitting laser light to the emitting laser head. The emitting laser head is mounted or configured mounted on an inspective beam path of the surgical microscope, and comprises an inspection passage for inspective beam propagation. A method for ocular surgery involves: providing an operation room with the adjustable stand with the attached surgical microscope and emitting laser head producing focused pulsed laser light having the characteristics making it applicable for incisions in a human eye, placing the patient on a couch in a sterile compartment of the operation room, mounting the stand in a first position, wherein the emitting laser head is placed on the inspective beam path of the surgical microscope so that a surgeon is enabled inspecting a patient's operated eye through the surgical microscope and inspection passage of the emitting laser head, exposing the eye to laser light in the first position of the stand, mounting the stand in a second position, wherein the emitting laser head is beyond the inspective beam path of the surgical microscope by rotation about the pivot, and the surgeon is enabled inspecting the patient's operated eye directly through the surgical microscope, performing another surgical manipulations requiring no laser light in the second position of the stand.

EFFECT: using the given group of inventions is expected to reducing the length of ophthalmic surgery.
