SUBSTANCE: series of inventions refers to medicine. Device for removal of epithelium of Bowman's membrane of the eye consists of: a laser module configured to remove the epithelium from Bowman's membrane of the eye using pulsed laser radiation, which consists of multiple ultra-short pulses and containing one or more controlled components to control the focus of the beam of pulsed laser radiation, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system configured to measure the depth of epithelial cells layer and a control computer configured to receive input data from the OCT system indicating depth of epithelial cell layer and in response to receiving this input data to supply commands for one or more adjustable components for focusing of pulsed laser radiation on the epithelial layer of the epithelial cells for the epithelial cell layer section photodegradation in such a way, that a part of the epithelial cell layer remains on the cornea. Method of removing epithelium of Bowman's membrane of the eye involves: measuring the depth of the layer of epithelial cells of eye epithelium, receiving input data from the OCT system, in response to receiving this input data focus pulsed laser radiation on the layer of epithelial cells, photodegradation of the section of epithelial cells layer and separation of epithelium from Bowman's membrane of the eye. Material carrier of machine-readable information storing computer code which being executed by a computer provides the implementation of the stages of the method.
EFFECT: usage of this series of inventions will allow to perform precision cuts in layers of epithelial cells, reducing destruction of other tissues.
